Norman “Doc” Hayes is the owner of At Night Group, LLC, a company that provides full-service hospitality consulting to restaurants and nightclubs. Doc acquired his knowledge from many years in the industry as well as currently owning and managing Martini’s Restaurant & Lounge, Club Elite Nightclub & Restaurant and The Laugh Out Loud Comedy Show, establishments that provide upscale dining and entertainment in affluent, Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Doc has over 30 years of general business management experience, which includes 20 plus years in development and use of technology, in addition to 20 years of directly related nightclub and restaurant service. Additionally, Doc’s immediate family has both historical and current restaurant and nightclub ownership experience in large metropolitan areas.
His Individual Responsibilities include providing clients with strong financial, operational, management and strategic planning advice. His multifaceted strategy includes, assessing operations to improve revenue, food, entertainment, beverage and service; performing beverage and food audits to analyze expenses; increasing revenues, suggesting cost cutting measures, and ensuring compliance with tax laws; developing an overall plan to provide customers with the best possible service at the least possible cost; researching competition to develop strategies to reposition a business for future growth; providing a multi-year blueprint for income/profit stability and improving operational efficiencies; providing tips on bar and food management to reduce waste, over pouring, spills, theft and unrecordedsales; and evaluating music selections, live performances and promotions to enhance a guest’s experience, to name a few.

Award Recognition
Doc is also an active member of the Hospitality industry and the community. Doc has been serving on the Board of Directors forthe Restaurant Association of Maryland (RAM) for 4 years. RAM is the state trade association operating for the purpose of promoting, protecting, and improving the food service industry with over 3000 members statewide. Doc was selected in 2007 as one of five finalists for the RAM“Restaurateur of the Year Award.” Doc also serves as an Executive Advisory Board member of the Prince George’s Community College Hospitality and Tourism Institute whose mission is to improve and expand workforce solutions in the county. The Institute will prepare students for professional career opportunities in today’s rapidly growing lodging, food service, travel, and tourism industries. The Institute pares academic coursework with hands-on experience, of which Doc gladly provides at Martini’s and Club Elite.
Family Life 
In addition, Doc is honoring his daughter’s memory through the Erikka A. Hayes Foundation. The Foundation’s purpose is to educate and cultivate future leaders in the hospitality, restaurant, nightclub and foodservice industry by providing structured learning, mentoring, scholarships and real-life work experience, and for industry professionals, providing ongoing tools to expand their knowledge base, increase professional skills, and receive industry-recognized credentials for the economically and socially disadvantaged.
With daughter Jedaka and brother Ronnie, Doc will continue to afford mature clientele the opportunity to enjoy upscale, high quality food, beverage and entertainment by managing guest expectations at Martini’s and Club Elite while giving back to the community through dedication, scholarship, work experience and true leadership.
